My AAA membership came up and got me to review the benefits of Good Sam's and FMCA's Coach-Net Emergency Road Service. Coach-Net provides discounts for FMCA Members making the price almost identical to Good Sam's.
After comparison of these two ERS Programs, it does not make sense to have AAA for other vehicles. In addition, they cover motorcycle towing which AAA doesn't.

They are both good products. So, between the two, Good Sam and FMCA's Coach-Net, which do you find the better deal, not necessarily in $ but benefits offered
I made calls to each and asked how their product was better than the other.
So what was your preference and why

I have had Coach Net for the past four years and have used them three times. i found them to be very professional and prompt. I think you will find that Coach net and Good Sam's are two of the most used ERS. You will find people who like both.

Before deciding on CoachNet, I followed the different threads on RV.NET talking about all of the plans. While all of the plans had people complaining about poor service, CoachNet had, by far, fewer complaints and more compliments.

Have had Coach net for over ten years and have used them multiple times with nothing but outstanding response and service. They specialize in RV and Trucks, so know the big rigs and are self contained, not a part of some other one size fits all road service. If you compare the services very carefully, you will notice that to get "identical" coverage, you have to upgrade the Good Sam policy on step from Coach Net.

Both of them have two plans with different benefits. Do a comparison and pick the one you like. Both are good. Good Sam's service is provided by Road America and they handle some of the manufacturers clubs also. Don't know who handles Coach Net or if they do their own.

I did a little more research this morning.
Coach Net does its own dispatch and runs the show.
Good Sam ERS has a 3 year contract (2008 - 2010) with Road America which also serves a lot of other companies and clubs. My Good Sam ERS expires on 9-30-2009 and I will look close at Coach Net and may switch. Just a few differences in their plans so you need to check them out and choice the one that is best for you.
