I am planning a trip next month to the Dallas Area I have a day of business to deal with in Ft Worth and will stay for another 4 or more days after to visit six flags and some other attractions for the kids. Where is a good camp ground to stay I will be arriving late a night around 1030 pm and have a 37 ft rig so pull through site would be nice or something well lit with a lot of room (not too much fun trying to get it in a small slot in a dark wooded area).I found traders village on the internet has anyone been there any recomindations? thanks

Here is where we stay
CowTown

It is clean and has pull thrus, it has a playground and pool for the kids.
It does have some monthleys, seems like most do out there anymore.
But seems very peacefull and they are very friendly.

I had to cancel a trip to that area. I was booked to stay at Treetops RV Village which is highly rated on RV Park Reviews.

Treetops or the Koa in arlington is where I stay when I take my daughter to 6 flags Treetops is the first choice Ask for a premium site well worth it and you can take side roads to 6 flags When I go to see her at school which is close this place is great righthttp://www.campingfriend.com/FortWorthMidtownRVPark/default.asp?file=Rates next to everything in Fort Worth

Traders village is okay loud with the planes and if they have something going on can be hassle getting in or out

Traders Village is a very, very large weekend flea market that gets major traffic congestion on the weekend. The RV park is always busy, looks very clean and nice. It also borders the Grand Prarie airport which is all small planes and a few helli-o-copters IE: CareFlight. There is another RV Park in the area, down around I-20 and Cooper, it has a good sounding write up in the RV books, but I have never seen it in person.
There is Joe Pool Lake, which is a State Park, but you would have the late entry to deal with and no pull thru sites. Also Texas State Parks can get expensive unless you purchase an annual pass.

DW's parents have stayed at Trader's Village in Grand Prairie, Treetops off Cooper Street in Arlington and the KOA on Cooper Street in Arlington. All are nice parks, you can't go wrong with any of the 3. Enjoy your stay in the DFW area.

Stayed at Trader's Village. It was clean, easy in, easy out and not overly expensive. It was crowded on the weekend though.

Treetops or Cowtown are both great. Treetops is a little closer to the Six Flags area. We have stayed at both, and were completely satisfied. Have fun.
