Why do we not just sell most all of this land. Pay down the national debt and start collecting taxes off on it.

It would help stop the whiners on both sides of the fence if it was not there to whine over. There must be some making money in some manner off all of this land or it is just costing us a pretty penny just to look pretty.

Wouldn't stop the whiners. They want people eliminated from the lands and will not stop until they get their way. Even if it is private property, they would try to find some reason to stop people from doing what they consider bad.
Wonder how many yellow bellied black flies lost their home on the land where their house was built?

Sounds like a plan! I think you should take it to your local representative and ask him/her to put that idea in the platform and run on it!!

The posts about places limiting their use by even by the land owner is disturbing.

Hardly unusual though. Happens in every city, town and hamlet across the U.S. and Canada every day - through zoning bylaws, ordinances etc. i.e. an owner of property cannot build a restaurant on a lot zoned residential. A commercial zoning designation is required to build a warehouse on a property etc. etc.

These are laws enacted by the council members elected in each county and/or municipality. Nothing new about that.

Very disturbing. There is an effort to limit our rights and freedoms in all aspects of our life as Americans. Locking up public land is just another control measure.

It starts with closing down the riding areas

Next they will decide that RV's use too much fuel and pollute too much - so they'll take away YOUR RV

Then they'll decide that driving hundreds of miles to recreate is not "responsible enough for the planet"

In the end - you'll get to walk to the movie theater to watch a 3D movie of the wilderness - no thanks!

OHV users are a minority of the voters - so are RV owners. My family uses our OHV responsibly, we respect the laws and the environment. I'll fight to keep our lands open to us - if you don't share our concern than keep it to yourself - & why are you in a Toy Hauler forum????

My family and I respect other peoples camp sites and follow the rules. We respect the land we ride on and always stay on designated trials when in limited use areas.............ALWAYS!! But the day they make off-road riding illegal, is the day me and my family become OHV OUTLAWS!!!!!! Catch me if you can
