Yesterday, we were playing in the snow on Mt. Lassen! Today we hiked and enjoyed the natural coolness of Burney Falls. Looks like we picked a good time to climb into the mountains.
We're staying in a RV Park on a working cattle ranch. We bought some steaks and burgers from the ranch, for the rest of our vacation. Hhhhmmmmmm. Local grass fed beef! Tomorrow we'll BBQ a few ribeyes, while their relatives graze in front of our trailer. Mooooo. Hey, do you work out?!!

Wow, a working cattle ranch sounds like fun and fresh beef too, you can't beat that. I love a good steak.
Sounds like you guys are having a great time, have an extra steak for me Vince, there's nothing like a fresh steak right off the ranch.....uummmm good.

Ellie's out saying good-bye to the moo-cows and Nick and I are packing to move. We really love this unique park, but it's time to head for Tahoe. We're bringing some of the local beef and horseraddish with us, so we'll have reminders of this peaceful place......RV-Ho!!!!!!
vjoek wrote: It was 111 degrees in Redding today!!!! This did not keep us from touring the Turtle Bay Museum, the Sundial Bridge or shoplifting at the local Walmart!! Nicky was sucking down the Gatorade. The temps dropped as we climbed back up the hill to Hat Creek and we enjoyed the Big BBQ for the local Volenteer Fire Department. It's now 70 degrees and quite comfortable. Tomorrow we'll drive south to Lasesn NP, a area we haven't visited in 12 years. Love Vacation!!!!
Last year when we went north through Redding we hit the Turtle Bay and Sundial Bridge. Pretty awesome bridge. Neat during the day but really pretty at night. Coming back south was a different story. All those fires had started a day before and the smoke was so thick it stung you eyes. Glad to hear you are having a great time. It has been about 20 years since we have been to lassen. Wonderful park the Manzanita campground was really nice from what I remember. Save travels.

Welcome home Dave and Sue. I didn't hear of any bad things happening like falling TVs or tire issues so I guess it was a good trip. Well, except for some grumbling that you are home again... :-)
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY CHUCK!!!
MAC, hope all is well for you and Patty out there in the midwest. We miss you guys out here.
