I'm kickin it up here in Lathrop CA in a Days Inn Hotel. The tractor was in the shop yesterday and last night. I had been working the old girl I guess a little to hard so she needed a little maintenance/computer work as the stop engine light came on. I got her back this morning at 6am and I am ready now to roll south back to LA for the holiday weekend, if they get me a load.
Enjoy and be Safe.

It'll be up at 4AM for me on this, and every, Independence Day. I go to work, so others can have an enjoyable 4th. I should be on my way home by noon and then get ready to BBQ and entertain about 15 relatives and friends. Four tri-tips are marinating in the fridge and the chicken thighs will hit the Sweet Baby Ray's in the slow-cooker early. Yumm!!! We hope everyone has a great 4th of July and please, remember our troops who ensure our freedom.

OMG, I Love Sweet Baby Ray's bbque sauce!
And I thought that I was the only one in the group that worked on the 4th and all the other holidays. I got here to where I park the truck at 0330 and to the house at 0345 and just got to bed at the time that you where getting up Vince at 0400. I have not worked that late since I left Vons. I have pretty much been a day driver since I started this job, starting my day between 0400 and 0700 then knocking off 14 hours later for my 10 hours off then back up and at it again for another 14. Kinda feel like a zombie now cause I could not sleep past 9am. It's going to be a rough day if I don't get a nap this afternoon before the festivities.
Sure awful quite her considering all to yappin that was goin on at the last campout!!!
Anyway, will be back from vacation Aug. 4th, so talk at ya then!!

I am vacationing in Sacramento right now, if you can call a working vacation a vacation, waiting for my load orders to head south (home) for my weekend.
Four more sleeps and we start a two week trip through the Cascades and Sierras. Burney Falls, Lassen NP, Tahoe and Yosemite......and all points in between!! We'll try to check in during our travels, but no guarentees if we're having too much fun. VIVA LA RV!!!!
It was 111 degrees in Redding today!!!! This did not keep us from touring the Turtle Bay Museum, the Sundial Bridge or shoplifting at the local Walmart!! Nicky was sucking down the Gatorade. The temps dropped as we climbed back up the hill to Hat Creek and we enjoyed the Big BBQ for the local Volenteer Fire Department. It's now 70 degrees and quite comfortable. Tomorrow we'll drive south to Lasesn NP, a area we haven't visited in 12 years. Love Vacation!!!!
