Need some good suggestions to sealing the sealed underbelly. I need to get around the small openings that are there to prevent anymore rodent infestation. The expanding foam is too messy and will not get into the small areas, plus it is not pleaseing to look at. Any other ideas would be appreciated.

Steel wool will fill voids. Silicone will also work. Personally I like using expanding foam. You can always cut off the excess after it hardens up.

I went around mine with some gorilla tape. I put steel wool and a couple dryer sheets in the voids and cut a slit in the tape to fit snug. I worked out with about 3 pieces overlapping them..it covered about a 8x8 inch area.. I went around everything.

it sticks great to a properly prepared area. If it comes off I will do it again.. and it matches great..

I dont have an underbelly but that black tarp stuff.

BTW - I live in farm country and mice you have to deal with. I keep traps set through the winter and in previous years have caught several.. this year I had zero.. no droppings or any sign of mice.

Rather than steel wool which will rust, use bronze wool (available from Marine supply stores). The little rodents will eat through the foam.

BINGO!!!!! TX has the best answer, a little Gorilla glue applied to the edges of the opening will help the bronze wool stay in place.

I just did mine with silicone seams to work ok, just did 400 mile trip and it held up. From the factory mine had exp. foam but I tore most of that off adding wireing, insulating water lines and installing tornado.
