Poncho's Pond in Luddington. The best family campground we have ever stayed in. Lots of kid activities.

Better book now. The state parks have been booked up for months already, on the west side anyway.

I'd recommend Sterling State Park, can take the kids to Greenfield Village easily from there too.

You should probably define what you consider a "good" campground.

Some prefer total rustic wilderness which means you would enjoy our many State Forest campgrounds.

Others need just electricity and would enjoy many of our Great Lakes bordering State Parks.....which were all filled up for the summer with reservations 5 months ago.

Still others want full hookups with paved pads and other amenities of which there are several nice ones on or near a lake.

There are a couple decent ones up near Muskegon, mi. And some near to the Michigan Adventure amusement park. its owned by the cedar point group and the water park is included in the price. couple of decent coasters. very close to lake michigan. short drive to some very nice areas to visit. some canoe rentals sites also.

How southern do you want to be?
There is a new campground near Muskegon Michigan
and it is directly across the road from
Michigan Adventure.
Here is the websiteww.duckcreekrvresort.com
It is to open this weekend for the first time. We toured the
campground 2 weeks ago.
Very well done and first class all the way.
