We have a Newmar Torrey Pine and altho' we no longer full time, you could full time/snowbird very easily in this one. Roomy, lots of storage and I like the floor plan. We've had very little trouble with it.

None are without potential problems. They are all a compromise between quality, weight, price and features. My opinion is only one and as such is of no more value than that of anyone else , but it does state that you would be hard pressed to do better than Jayco's Designer series when looking for a good balance point of those 4 compromises.

We full-time in a CC Day dreamer 40 qsd-we picked that for 4 season campability. We also like the real wood cabinets, large bathroom and 2 a/c's both with heatpumps. Thermopane windows make a huge difference. Also liked the Carriage royal international but it was $250k!
Quality-still undecided. It has already been back to the factory one time and has a few annoying problems. But, overall pleased with the set-up/

A lot of great recommendations and advice and I would like to reiterated a few that I think are important if you plan to fulltime.

First, check the with the manufacturer to see if the unit is rated for fulltiming. If it is not rated for fulltiming, you are using it for this purpose, and the manufacturer finds out that you are, then it could void your warranty.

Second, don't be surprised by the bump in price for rigs that are rated for fulltiming.

Third, don't base a decision on which rig to by based on how nice it appears. Fulltiming requires a substantial unit. Narrow your search first by structure then by options/niceities.

Fourth, As several have stated, your TV requirements may increase substantially. Many of the full time rigs will require a 350 or 450 equivalent TV.

Finally, everyone has to figure out three things for the themselves: 1) What you want; 2) What you need; and 3) What you can afford. Figure this out before you select your unit and you will be much more satisfied with whatever you select.

Others may have another opinion, but we feel our Montana 3000RK by Keystone is a great full-time rig. I'm sure other models in their line are just as good. In two major trips up and down the east coast and across the country, we have had but one warranty claim for a single blown fuse. We have pulled it more than 5000 miles so far in the 6 months we have had her and couldn't be more pleased. It has endured sub-freezing temps as well as blistering heat. The 100 degree heat of Arizona convinced us that the single A/C will do just fine.

We are full-timers-in-training as we haven't sold the S&B's yet and are taking extended trips now before returning home. It is getting tougher to return every time!

I would have to agree with this comment. I have owned a 2003 Montana 2955, a 2006 Montana 3000RK, and now a 2010 Montana 3150RL. The 2010 Montana has even changed from the 2009 model with the new fiberglas front and rear caps, hickory cabinets, and numerous other up grades.

What do you consider nice looking?

There are people who think the KZ Escalade is "nice" looking I think it's a tarted up bordelo.

I look the looks of the Glacier Bay, the Cameo, the Excel's and the Hitchhiker's (We own the Hitchhiker). The Doubletree is a bit over done for my tastes Travel Supreme used to have a very nice rig. Teton's and Newmar's are pretty but heavy.

All of the units mentioned would make a good snowbirding / full time unit.
