hope this works.
The freshwater tank cost about $80 shipped to my door with all the fittings purchased right from ameri-kartthe Indeana location will sell direct the Michigan one will not.
I made the reciever for the bike rack, I might still replace the 4" tube with a thicker piece, I had my wife follow me down the highway and she said it looked ok but I will keep a close eye on the welds to see if the metal tube starts to rip.
I plan on taking more pictures this weekend, the water tank is under one of the rear bunks. Amerikart has lots of different size tanks, you could add one any where you have extra room and just plumb it in. The fill only goes to the stock tank and the second tank back fills through the suction/drain line so it takes longer to fill and equalize and draws from both when using the pump.
I would rather have one big tank, they had a 50gal. tank that would fit but they were not in production and it could be a year before they make that size again.
Like I said in my OP $80, total shipped to my door. Some of the more common sizes are very cheap, it came with an 1 1/4 fill and 3) 1/2" vent-drain-suction hookups. When you order you tell them where you want the fittings, they will put them anywhere on the tank you want. The stock tank is at the top of the picture, the bottom one is the one I added. You can also get tank sensors installed for free, I think, but I didn't need them because the stock tank has them.

Do you have any more details on the receiver you put on the back of your TT? I am looking at doing something similar. I bought a truck bumper hitch this week, but I don't think its going to work. Would love to see more details on what you did.
hope this works.

Have you actually tried to fill that second tank. Using the original tank vent line which is above the actual fill line for the original tank and not having from what I can tell the second tank vented I don't see how that can work. That vent line is tiny and seems like water would only dribble into the second tank if it would go into it at all and would take forever to fill that second tank the way you have it plumbed now.
Of course maybe I just don't understand how it actually works. I think I would have actually T'd the main fill line and run a larger fill line to the second tank, which I guess you could still do that by putting the appropriate fitting on the second tank which I think you might want to consider. It looks like that second tank has a larger fitting on it that was meant as the actual fill inlet and I would look at using that vice that vent line as the fill line for the second tank.
I welded up the hitch myself with 3/16" and 1/4" steel plate cut 8"x8" and used a 2" id square reciever from tractor supply. I also welded severall gusets around everthing. The standard 2" ID steel tube has the seam welded on the inside so it must be ground out to use. If I had to do over I would have used all 1/4" steel. I used eather 5/16 or 3/8 for the bolts.
I don't have any better pics.
As for the tank it takes about 10 extra minutes to fill the second tank, it fills through the suction and drain lines as they are all tee'd together. I didn't Tee in the fill line because I like having the room to reach the pump and fittings easier. When water starts coming out the over flow the second tank is about half full, I then just turn the water down to a slow fill and they equalize in about ten minutes, I may tee in the fill later but it works fast enough now. The tanks share the vent line also.
It does remove tongue weight so on the trips with water I keep my hose and cord tote #50 worth of stuff in the front storage on the trip to the campground and move it to the back storage for the trip home. I also carry a 5 gal. water cooler full of drinking water and a 6 gal jug for refilling trailer fw (I have 2 kids under 3 and they get/need a bath every night when camping)and a 4 gal. jug for the dog. My beer/pop/gatoraid cooler weighs about #100 full, so for the trip home there is #200 less in the back of the truck. I am between #650 to #850 tongue weight I check ever trip when checking tires and pre trip inspections.
