All of the colored dots are part of the C-C system. We just returned from a trip through CO, NM, AZ, TX, OK, KA, UT, staying at C-C affiliated resorts all the way (4 months). Enjoy camping!
I got one of their ads in my E-mail today but noticed it did not address the cost of membership. The ad also doesn't address length of stay limitations. Anybody have one of these memberships that could share their thoughts on them? Don't really want to call them as I would then start getting all other kinds of calls wanting to sell me something.

Could you please give some more details such as:
-Did you have to reserve a place in advance?
-What are the limitations (1 night,no weekends and so on)
-Were you happy with the places you stayed?
-Is it 50% off always?
-Where can I find a list of C.G participating (before I sign up)
Hi again Dan. We have been members of C2C for about 11 years and most years it has paid off for us. Here is what we know;
First - you must own a membership in a private cg that is a C2C affiliate. Some of these are pricey, some are not that bad. This then becomes your "home" park. There are two levels of membership - 'classic' and 'deluxe'. Some of the 'rules are different for each level.
Then you can pay the C2C annual fee.
Length of stay in a C2C park - classic member - 1 week at a time with one week 'away' between visits at home park. Deluxe - 2 weeks with one week away.
You can stay at othere c2c affiliated parke for $10/night - same rules but you can only visit the same affiliate twice in any year.
Reservations - can be made 60 days in advance ( 90 for deluxe members)
Short term - as we travel and want to spend a night or two in a c2c park we just call ahead to see if they have room.
They also have what are called "good neighbor parks' These are mostly open to the public but accept c2c members for $15/night.
Payment for nightly fees is actually done with "points'. Points are purchsed ahead of time at c2c headquarters. When you register at a park the payment points are charged by the park so no cash changes hands. Rather awkward ubtil you get used to it. Then it works OK.
Above post spelled it out pretty clearly. We enjoyed MOST of the parks we stayed in, some could use some work. Stayed up to two weeks at a time, sometimes we stayed just one night and moved on. Weigh the advantages and if you think it makes sense to you, go for it. We will have made up the cost of our membership in a relatively short time. Stays at your "home base" campground do not cost you anything. If you think this plan makes good sense to you and you are interested in purchasing be sure to check the secondary market and purchase someone else's membership, will save you 50% or more!
Thank you guys for the detailed answers.
I did not know that I have to own a home base,it does not fit into my travel plans, I think I will stick to my P.A membership and move around.
Thanks again
I have the feeling that you think Coast to Coast is something like Passport America and several others that are 50% off. Do some serious thinking and research before you go to a RV park and buy into the system. There are others very similar such as RPI... AOR....and others. These are affiliated systems that you can buy into for a few hundred to thousands. I used to have a document that explained all this... but could not find it to send to you. We have been members of Coast to Coast for years along with RPI..they are so similar we dropped C2C...when they went to a system of paying in advance. You must belong to a membership resort to be a member of C2C.. Coast to Coast lets you stay a week then must leave. Coast to coast Delux lets you stay two weeks...the must leave. With Passport America you and the one similar from Camperworld are 50% off and you dont need to belong to a Resort System.. Each of those systems also needs to be looked at carefully as you will find some you cant go in on weekends, during their busy season etc.
actually we are C2C members. for about 7 years now. we did use it alot at first but recently have gotten rid of our big trailer and use a TC now. we still use it but explore other places along the way( we like the untraveled routes).
we recently have considered selling off our membership since we dont seem to use it much now. was a little pricey at first. The camping deals pay for it eventually if you use it. We just enjoy the parks that can be tough for others to get into(Branson, etc).
Buy it second hand if you can and get a better price. make sure about your home park fees(fixed or adjustable). Thats usually the pricey part for newbies, The home park purchase price. Some memberships are locked in for life unless you sell it off. Make sure you read and understand the contract. Dont list anyone else on your membership because that makes it automatically transfer to them if you die. leaving them responsible for the fees.
some prices can start at $4000 and up. depends on the home park. We have 2 because they are sister parks here in Michigan.
