I have an 05 Holiday Rambler 28' Savoy. The plastic molding that is attached to the side of the trailer on both sides above the wheels is cracking/broken but still attached. I believe it just stress as it is happening at most of the screws that hold the plastic molding on. I went to our local dealer for a replacement piece and he said Monaco (Spelling) was in chapter 11 and I could not get a replacement at this time. He suggested that I take tin and rivet it behind the plastic to keep it together. Obviously, their repair shop could do it....I am wondering if anyone else had encountered this and tried a repair. I was thinking about placing Eterna bond tape behind the cracks instead of rivets....My son-in-law suggested I try epoxy but I noticed that most epoxy says it works on MOST plastic sooooooooo any suggestions would be appreciated

I used Gorilla Glue (Gorilla Tape and then Gorilla Glue) That has been about 4 years ago. Can not see it unless I show it to you. I crack, vertical, from screw to bottom flair.

If you absolutely cannot find a replacement, take it to a bodyshop. They can make a new one out of fiberglass, or repair the old one if it's not to badly broken. If you use gorilla glue, make sure the place where you glue it is damp or the glue will not work.

If you want to buy new skirts, this site has them.

This might be especially helpful for "orphaned" trailers.

If you get new ones make sure you make the holes larger then the screws. that way they wont crack again.

Monaco's website is still up. Try going on it and emailing someone with your question.
Good luck, Bud
