There are several good models out there depending on what you want to pay. Personally we love our Olympia (purchased from Caping World). You'll find strong support for the Weber "Baby Q". It's a great grill as well. Some folks like the $20 models from Wal-Mart. It's just a matter of personal preference.

Also welcome to the Open Road Forums and congratulations on the purchase of your RV. What did you buy?

...yeah, a BBQ is a camp necessity; however, if you want to eat like camp royalty, get and learn how to cook with a dutch oven.

True, but each cooking appliance has its strong points. We use both for the different tastes and recipes.

You just can't beat a cheap gas grill for RV use. They don't take up much space and are easy to clean. You can be up and cooking steaks or brats in less than 5 minutes.

We have a Weber Baby Q. But any small grill works well! Enjoy!

[1] cheap $20 Walmart gas grill to travel in one of the bins.
[2] Better, heavier gas grill stored in shed at destination.
[3] Large, semi-elaborate grill on the deck at home
[4] ECB smoker that travels in the toad wherever we go -- gotta have that beer can chicken, smoked pulled pork sandwiches, homemade pastrami, etc.

Weber Baby Q. The cast iron grate can be heated to mark steaks, etc and the heatwon't drop out when you throw meat on it.
