My Class A requires Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel:

Are ALL diesel stations/brands required to sell just this now?
Are there diesel stations/brands that do not?
Do YOU have a preference in diesel brands such as Exxon or BP?
Do you look for the Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel sticker on the pump?
Anything else I should be aware of before fueling up?

No, only California and Canada are required to sell ULSD now. The required change over date for retail sales is 12/01/2010.
Are there diesel stations/brands that do not? Many stations sell both, so be careful when you pull in. We just finished a 4000 mile X-country trip and did see several stations that did not have ULSD.

No, just make sure it is a high volume station, as diesel can go bad if allowed to set for a long period of time, as in a low volume dealers tank.
Do you look for the Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel sticker on the pump?
You do need to look for the sticker until 12/01/2010, as your engine requires ULSD. NO sticker, then you must assume it is LSD.
Anything else I should be aware of before fueling up?
Yes, if using the truck side, please use proper lane ettiquite.

You will have no problem finding ULSD... in fact just the opposite.. you will have problems finding lsd except at a few major truck stops. The sticker will be on the pump except in California... all CA stations were required to change to ULSD a few years back.
Basically, all ULSD is the same. Some say BP is better but finding factual data is not easy.

While in Florida I pulled into a Pilot station and went around back to the truck pumps. This was a six bay arrangement and was more convenient for our 40' DP with tow car. My wife went in to prepay and I waited for them to activate the pump. I got to looking and the pump had a label saying this was LSD not to be used in 2007 and newer diesel engines. I went inside and asked to be sure and yes none of their truck pumps had ULSD just LSD. If I needed ULSD I needed to pull around to the front of the building and use the pumps for the pickup trucks. It was a much tigher fit but we got in and out ok. I narrowly avoided a major disaster with our 2008 Winnebago Tour with ISL 400. This was the first time I had run into this and will be much more careful in the future.

Where do you get "avoided a major disaster"? Using one tank of LSD will not make much difference. True, LSD can't be used as a steady diet but once shouldn't be a cause for concern.

In November we traveled from Michigan to Florida. At 4 gas stations, (all truck stops) we were unable to locate ULSD. It made the trip a lot longer. On the way back in April, every station had it.

Do not be fooled into placing non ULSD into your 2007-2009 vehicle. It will not only gum up the filter and cause you problems....but according to my dealer.....WILL VOID YOUR ENGINE WARRANTY.

We just completed a 4000 mile trip to the SE and back. Never had a problem finding USDL. Every station we stopped at had it. BP, Pilot, Flying J, Exon, Tesoro. Pumps were very clearly marked. A non-issue. In contrast to the above comment, every Pilot we stopped at told me all they carry anymore was USDL.

I didn't think they were delivering LSD anymore, but some tanks haven't been certified for ULSD?

I found 2 stations, a Loves and a Texaco, still selling LSD. When I went inside to inquire they told me to go ahead and use it, won't hurt anything. I said no thanks and went looking for a Flying J. You got to be careful. Using the wrong fuel type will void the Cummins warranty.

This is where you are wrong, as they are still refining, delivering and selling LSD in many retail stations. The cost to switch over is extremely high and many independents will not switch over, they will just stop selling diesel on 12/01/2010.
