I welcome all comments.

I want to take a Golf Cart with me. Would like to tow a utility trailer with the cart on it behind fifth wheel.

I stopped at 3 DMV's in North Carolina today...one said gray area as the other, too, not sure.

Talked to a State trooper and he made a call and was told NO. Even the 18 wheelers that double tow can only do it at certain times.

What are your thoughts?

How about the Swivel Wheel set up....Still a trailer?

Depends on where you are going. Some state - OK, others (NC??) no-no.

Trailer Life Directory has a state-by-state summary of these regs.

From the looks of your rig, you would be over the 65 foot maximum length.

I wouldn't recommend trying to TRICK them with any gimmic. Any trailer you tow behind your trailer is another trailer and would still be so if it was a car. Most courses have carts for rent at a pretty reasonable rate anyway. Good luck Skip

We pull a SmartTrailer carrying two motorcycles behind our Big Sky and it works well. We just got back from a week in North Carolina. No problems.

In Washington State double towing is not allowed. I built a Smarttrailer type unit and they call it a "Load Carrying Vehicle Extension" and it is legal. Not registered or licensed.

I have towed this setup for three years with no problems here in Washington.
