Just bought a new (used) TV. 2005 Chevy 2500HD 6.0 4WD Crew Cab. Truck has 52,000 miles. The dealer I bought it from has a "Never Ending Warranty" underwritten by National Auto Care on the vehicle. It is on every vehicle they sell, didn't make a difference on price when I asked them to remove it. It offers protection on the drivetrain but does not cover normal wear and tear. I am very suspect of these extended warraty companies and I think this leaves a big gap as to what is determined to be wear and tear. I am considering purchasing a seperate one on my own but they are pricey and I am just wondering if I should take the $2500 and stick it in the bank for a rainy day fund instead.

Anyone have any dealings with this company or any suggestions for a good warraty company. I have been looking at Warranty Direct and found some good info on this site:

My suggestion is to ask yourself "who makes money on insurance policies?" Bank the payments and insure yourself.

did you buy it and pay the $2,500? if so don't worry about it now, as it is too late.

No, I didn't buy it yet. I can get it pretty much anytime if I really want it but the more I look and read I don't think most aftermarket warraties are worth it.

I just bought a Ford warranty from Ford. It covers normal wear and tear. They can blame just about everything on normal wear and never pay a dime.

If removing the warranty did not make any difference in the price, just take it. No extended warranty will cover normal wear and tear. No reason to buy another warranty. Save your money.
