Still bugs me. One reason I've not frequented this forum as often as I used to, and migrated to other ones. Too stubborn to reprogram cookie deletion. As stubborn as the Lurker.

LOL! I use other forums more also. The trailer life portal is still (I think) still "lurker popup" free. I have most of the java nonsense turned off so I don't know if I'd see it anyway. I am also spared the garish flashing ads others seem to see.

I recently installed Avast free edition. It has a website blocker that has blocked ALL the ads from this and most other forums. It's specific so it might be able to block the lurker popup. If I see it again I'll try.

Oh, I've also set it to block the google-garbage analytics thingy. I hope it's working.

AVAST! Matey, ya say.

Good idea. This land lubber may give it a try, tho I've learned to tolerate the ads. It's just when I'm in the middle of reading a post and the confounded Lurker thing pops up in the middle of it all, in spite of my pop-up blocker, and breaks my train of thought for no rational reason, except from only the site administrators point of view. It's just plain rude, and doesn't promote any positive feelings toward the site. It's the only one I go to that has such a disrespectful annoyance. So, Avast possibly could be programmed to recognize the blasted Lurker as an "ad", and block it?

I don't recall seeing this "lurker" pop-up, so I guess my blocker is doing it's stuff, good thing cuz I wouldn't know where to go fix cookies mentioned.

1/2 Canadian, what possible advantage is there to being logged off?

Can you navigate faster?

I never logout. I have this site bookmarked with me logged in. The computer is only my computer. Most of the time forum navigation speed is quite fast.

My suggestion, stay logged in.

& I, I took the road less travelled by.
