Do you need to air your tires down when on that beach? I haven't yet had the need to, but I have never been in deep soft sand yet either (just semi-deep).
The softer and deeper the surface, the less air you want in the tires. Go out to Glamis or ride the sand washes in Anza Borrego and see how far you get with full pressure in the tires. Take a compressor and generator with you so you can air them back up.
Yeah its a good idea to air down with a truck camper. Most of the small SUV's don't bother too. Democrat Point is nicely set up with three air stations, all you need is to bring your own hose/tire chuck. I bought the Staun Tire Deflators. Airs down instantly. I'm gonna do a Glamis trip w/ the quads one year.....
I know those first two guys and I see a few other I know. Unfortunatly the front of my camper is ripped apart for fixing wood rot! Wouldnt have mattered though,I had to go to soccer tournaments for the last 2 weekends! see ya soon!
