When you put camper in storage for greater than 2 weeks do you disconnect the battery because mine keep sgoing dead in about 2-3 days and i think it is from a small co2 detector under the fridge. new to forum hello everyone.

You should disconnect the battery when you store your TT. Your smoke detector, LP gas detector etc draw a small amount of current and will drain your battery.

Or install a disconnect switch.

I hope you will enjoy reading my journal about my bicycle ride, camping all the way across America at www.crazyguyonabike.com/doc/dean. We also RV in our '07 Starcraft Travel Star 23QB, pulled with a good old stout Isuzu Trooper. It works

Install a battery disconnect switch or disconnect the battery manually.

Hello, and welcome to the forum. While I agree that disconnecting the battery or installing a disconnect switch is a good idea, it seems to be that the battery being drained in 2-3 days isn't due to a CO2 detector. It can't possible draw that much power. Could there be another explanation for the quick drain? It seems that 2-3 days could indicate something else running, or a problem with the battery.... ??

Just a thought.

I use a disconnect switch and the 15w solar panel keeps the battery up.

After several trips to the dead zone, I am sure the battery is shot.
