I was at the local TA Truck Stop yesterday and there was big sign at the service desk saying "We do not service Motorhomes". I asked the service writer about the change and she said it was a change from "Corporate".
This is beginning to bother me. Not only are the RV dealers shrinking but now the "Big Rig" service facilities are backing off of the MH service market. I guess Speedco still does chassis service on DP's don't they? Auto Zone has placed a cap on oil disposal. The local store is limited to 12 quart per customer. I had to make several trips the last service.
I'm interested in this topic too. I've found that for basic service needs (oil changes, chassis lube, etc.) that the big rig places are cheaper, more convenient and faster. My 9-5 Monday-Friday RV shop is not at all convenient when I work full-time!
Must be very recent, as we used TA for service 6 weeks ago. Will have to switch to J Lube or Speedco, I guess.

I've never had any problem disposing of large quantities of oil at Walmart.
If it's any consolation, there are a couple good places here in the RV Capitol of the world(Elkhart, IN) that have extended a warm welcome to the Motor Home Owners. Master Tech at 28717 holiday Place Elkhart IN. Easy access from the US 20 Bypass north on 19 to Mishawaka Road west to 28717 Holiday Place(866-895-4556)ask for Tim.
You can also exit US80 at Elkhart, take 19 south to Mishawaka Road.
Then in Mishawaka, Indiana which is just west of Elkhart, is a facility I just used and am excited about is Zoleman Tire at 2014 McKinley Ave, from US80, take
the Capitol Ave exit and go south McKinley Ave turn west and go to the first stop light- it's on the right.
Zoleman's just set up a couple heavy truck/motor home bays, one with a state of the art alignment machine. They are capable of doing all kinds of service, tire sales and service, suspension & Chassis work, with parts being readily available. Ask for Brian at 800-582-2833
If you would tell them Rich told you about them. It's nothing for me, just that these businesses helped me out and I recognize good places and people that we all need to know about.
I've used Michiana Mobile Lube, who I was referred to by Charger Enterprises in Elkhart. They came to Elkhart County Fairgrounds last month and serviced my engine and generator for $206.39. Two guys done in about 90 minutes.
Last time at Freightliner $424.38 w/o the generator and I was there from 7:00AM til 1:30PM with one guy "doing" the work. Charger Enterprises is a great service provider for any type of RV and do all but chassis and engine work. They are located between CR9 and CR11 on CR6, this is just south of the Indiana Tollroad I80/90 between the two Elkhart exits, much closer to the Tollroad than Mastertech for transients. Michiana Mobile Lube also has done service work for Charger's customers on site for the past 12+ years.

Clearly they have either had problem when servicing RVs or the uniqueness of each RV model slows them down, both situation making it less profitable for the business. They also may be getting grief from truckers who don't think they should have to wait while a pleasure vehicle gets serviced ahead of them. The companies have determined that they do not require RV's to remain in business. I actually respect them for making the business decision not so services RV's instead of giving RV owners poor service, attitude or jacking the bill to make it worth their while.
Unfortunately you will have to find someone else who wants your business and you may have to pay more to get your RV serviced.

That is why you didn't hear a peep out of me, as I had the same thoughts. As I said, I will just move on to another shop. I don't think J Lube will turn us away, the way Flying J likes RVers and Speedco also appreciates our business.
Why would a place limit one to how much used oil you can dispose of? They get paid for it. My son's place has a 300 gal. tank for used oil. A truck shows up every week and pumps it out, and sends him a check.
