Boy do you know how to ruin a good trip to ALASKA with this question. We are doing nothing to it today, just sitting here looking at the bueatiful mountains. Tomorrow, however, we will clean the inside and I will check all the batteries, tires, etc to get ready to leave on Monday. Will have a bid day of travel, going about 110 miles. he he he They do require some work but they are a lot of fun also.

Today I installed the new Carrier AC that I spent the day just staring at the RV in contemplation... only took a little over an hour to install... then spent an hour sitting in the nice cool RV :-)

This week:

1. Finished installing the boondocking crank-up Sat antenna.
2. Replaced the rotten RG-59 on the batwing (exterior).
3. Replaced the porch light (and wouldn't ya know it. I bought a Bargman to replace a cheapo no-name, and had to drill new holes and a bunch of other stuff. What shoulda been a fifteen minute job took over an hour!).
4. Aired up the tires (Absolutely HATE the "Slinky" extensions that the valve chuck won't lock onto.).
5. Took out all the cast iron and other "extended stay" stuff like propane stove, extra side tables, griddle, pop-up shade, etc. that we won't use on this "Cruise".
6. Changed engine oil and filter, ran genny under load, flushed water heater and checked anode rod, and drained / partially refilled fresh water tank.

I'm ready to hit it next week to Rushmore, Yellowstone, and my old hometown of Montpelier, Idahoop! Stopping in Blackfoot and Pocatello to visit friends.

This will be my first real test of how well I can Telecommute, so between the miles and the connectivity, it oughta be an interesting trip!

Changed tranny filter and oil, cleaned battery connections and topped off water, disconnected and cleaned main ground connection ( there is at least 10 connectors on the main ground and all of them were corroded ). Ready to go to an indian casino.

Main thing I did was get sidetracked
Had a long list of minor things to do - including adding a digital converter box to the two TVs - and I did such a good job on the main TV that I decided it needed about 9 innings of QC so I watched a baseball game But I also checked the A/Cs and toilet system and ice maker at the same time so it wasn't really a wasted three hours.

Of course... Figuring out how I'm going to get the old one off only took about 1 second of thinking and brought a big smile to my face thinking about chucking that thing off the roof :-)

Had a guy down the street who just happened to own a forklift. $10 to him and the AC R & R became a 90 minute job for this 1st timer 10-15 years back.
