Well, I fired up my newly fixed fridge, drove her around to run some errands, brought her home, jacked her up, plugged her in. Gonna risk the wrath of the homeowners association this weekend, should take the nosy old biddies about an hour to get me another nasty letter in the mail. Oh well,...

8 days until we leave for "Our Big Vacation."

When we get back, sometime mid July, I won't be an RV newbie anymore.

Drove from Akron, OH to somewhere in Kentucky. Nice trip, light traffic, everything went well. Coach rode like a dream.

How did you do that???

Hooked up car while still in tight campsite.
Pulling out, watching on drivers side to make sure car clears one of those New England boulders.
It did but RV found the one on the passenger side.

Lesson Learned: ALWAYS pull out of spot first before hooking up car.

Cut a 12" x 12" access hatch into the floor under the rear bed, to provide access to the in-tank fuel pump ('97 F-53) Triple E. Saves having to find a home for a full tank of gas, and dropping the tank, to change the pump. Now the pump can be changed in about an hour.

Today! I placed an order for my Dashboard Cover by Josie!

Since Harold did not have a pattern for my 07 HR Ambassador, he sent me the "kit" to make a template. He confirmed today that I should have it in about 2 weeks.

Ohhhh! I'm looking forward to that!!!

Added a soap dispenser to the utility compartment. One of the first things I did when I got the RV was put a paper towel dispenser in there, but I just kept putting off the soap dispenser.

I looked all over for a suitable dispenser or a holder for liquid soap and couldn't find anything that I liked. So, yesterday at the Home Depot, I picked up a simpson strong tie L bracket about 1.5 inches wide, brought it home and drilled a hole and used a punch to punch out a hole big enough for the threaded part of a dial liquid soap bottle to go through. Then I mounted it to the side of the utility compartment and put bottle in and screwed the pump top back on. It seems to work well, we will see if it vibrates loose.

Also ordered new multifunction turn/wipers/cruise/high-low beam/hazard switch and started seriously contemplating a shift to LED running lights to reduce the load on the new switch.
