1. found out that my privacy fence gate only allows 1" on either side
to allow my RV to go through and that was with the mirrors in... AND .. my
husband driving...
Sooo got my handy guys to make a bigger gate with bracing $$

2. Found out my RV is heavy and sank several inches in my newer driveway.
Soooo called the local paving place who is coming to widen my drive to allow me to drive straight into the rear yard (was curved driveway) and also at the rear put in a gravel pad for it to park on. $$$

This is my first experience with any sort of trailer or RV...
Wow expensive...
Also realised that the zillion things I bought online over the winter for my RV... that now fill my
basement, will probably not all fit in my RV...LOL

I giggled reading this..the (wow expensive) part...now go fill'er up with gas !!
I fell over when I was done filling up...lol.

Installed my new EMS-HW50C Surge Protector today. I had to move the transfer switch to make room for the EMS box, so it was considerably more work than I had originally expected to do.

Hint: The output side of the EMS box is VERY tight due to the current sensors on the red and black output wires. So to make room to fit the white wire between the current sensors, cut the wires so that the white wire is about 1 inch longer than the red & black ones.

I also replaced the flush ball, seals, and clamp rings on my Sealand toilet. It now holds water in the bowl.

This doesn’t sound like a big deal but I noticed when I was washing the MH my door window frame had a crack in it, So I went and got a new one no big deal un screw and screw back on right Ooono!!! When I unscrewed it everything came apart window both sides of the frame you would think that they would have some kind of clips to hold the window in on the frame. And then try to find some kind of molding to go on the outside fram. You defiantly need two people to do this job after using tape to hold the window on the inside frame and screw it back on only to find out the molding I got was no right for the job so next week end I will try to find out what molding to use and try again.

Took it to a Ford dealer for a recall fix on the transmission shift lever, then to my RV dealer for de-winterizing and pre-season check. All set now for the 2012 season, can't wait to get started.

Installed DC ceiling fan over bed. Makes DW feel at home. Just need to stain and varnish backer board. Next up wireless on/off/dimmer controller for awning LED light strip.

Thought about starting to wax the motor home. But early spring (late winter?) temps - 23°F this morning with snow flakes in the air - persuaded me to put it off for another day. Geeze, our camping season begins May 4th for the first campout. Sigh....

WOW, that is cold. Hard to believe that the weather can fluctuate that much in temperatures. It was 90 degrees yesterday in Palm Springs, California.

My Electrical Engineer friend installed a new 50 amp power cable with Camco handle plug. The old cable was very stiff and I had trouble coiling it into the compartment. the new one has a rubber coating that is more pliable. He installed barrel connectors on the wire ends, (since there are more strands) to make sure of good contact. He will come back and re-tighten after my next outing. He even took the old cable off my hands. Boy that was a bear. I am very happy.

I mounted and balanced my new tires. I also put all but one set of duellies on because my fat butt has to get under the rear end to replace the rear shocks.

While putting these bad boys on the MH I tried cutting off my knuckle as well. just a reminder that sheet metal is stronger than skin haha.
