We have a "queen" 60 by 74 mattress, and a true queen memory foam mattress topper. I like the way the topper hangs a bit over the end as I take up almost all of the 74 length without the topper.

But the topper slips down, after a few nights sleep it has slipped about a foot on the mattress.

Any good ideas how to make this not happen?

thanks, Mike

Mike: I didn't have the very same problem, but similar. My mattress slipped on the board supporting it. I put some heavy grade (waffled)rubber, you can buy at nearly any store. It comes in rolls for anti skid shelving. It worked just fine, haven't had a problem since.

Thanks for that idea Homer, we will give it a shot for sure. And it's something we already have too! Bonus!

Nails-Glue- Just Kidding!
Try putting a fitted sheet on the Mattress before putting on the topper. Then another Sheet over the Topper. What is happening is the Topper is creeping not slipping.

I bought a deep pocket Mattress pad cover at Overstock.com and our 3" foam topper stayed in place without any problems.

I haven't tried this, but maybe some mattress gripper might work. You can buy it at most linen stores, like Bed Bath & Beyond.

Good luck, let us know what you end up doing and what works.

Hi All.

When we used a Memory Foam Pad, for many years, we bought an over-stuffed mattress protector pad. Never did our mattress ever move. Got rid of the Short Queen size Mattress (60X76). Re-Built the Frame and Platform and added a Full Size Custom Made Queen Mattress (60X80). We don't needd the Memory Foam Pads anymore. Good Luck. Happy Camping. Dan & Jill
