After making some changes, getting the connectors wired up the way I wanted, doing a 100K miles service on the truck, and not having used the car hauler yet, I needed to do a test run. Didn't want to get headed out end of this week on a 12 day 2000 mile trip with a lot of unknowns.
So I decided to make a quick short run up to this nearby campground I always considered too close to camp out. It was Sunday and I would have to get up early to head to work then next morning, but since it only added about 20 minutes to my commute, I figured why not.
It's a small campground but has a lot to offer.
Campground has very nice large level paved sites.
The start of the Awendaw Passage of the Palmetto Trail if you like to hike. It was late by the time I made it to the trail head so only did the first 1/4 mile.
A nice boat ramp and pier if you are into fishing.
They even have info sheets on the board so you can try to figure out what you caught.
Or sit among the trees enjoying the cool shade and breeze.
Of course, you never know what will come along the ICW.
I think that covers most of the pics I took, but you can view the complete album at my 2009 Buck Hall Album
