Heading to Cedar Point Thursday, will be going out the Ohio Turnpike 76/80
Thinking about leaving Wednesday after work and stopping on the Ohio Turnpike because I understand they actually have RV parking with hook-ups.
Has anyone ever used these? What is the cost?
I would assume on a Wednesday night they would not be all taken, (if they were we would just boondock).
Looks like the East most one is at mm 197.
Any info would be appreciated. I searched the turnpike web site and didn't find much information on this. Someone on this site said there is a machine you put money into.
Last time we were through there it cost $15 for overnight. I believe there are 3 rest areas on the Ohio pike that have hookups. Water , electric and a dump station. Longer rigs don`t fit. Found them on their website. 76.9 , 139.5 and 197 mile markers. In both directions.

We have been using them the last couple of years while traveling I-80 going West and then again when returning East. $15 a night, electrical hook-ups, water and dump station available. The RV sections at the rest stop just east of Toledo have been recently redone and has pull through sites that will accept somewhat larger RVs. New pavement and lighting. Always had open spots even on week ends. Some people just won't pay the price and would rather park in the commercial truck parking area.
When we stayed there we were the only ones. Since we were so long we just took up 3 spots, and paid 15.00 It was great. We didn't even hear the noise from the highway.

Update: Used the one at mm197 east bound last Wednesday night. Worked out great, plugged in around 1am, and slept till 8 the next morning. The sites are a little short though, we just fit with a 30' TT and Suburban.
Also, the water is not at your site, only electric, but there is a fresh water hose near the dump station.
The inside of the rest stop was one of the cleanest I've ever seen, with a Starbucks for my morning caffeine fix.
We would use this again if traveling through Ohio.
