Heading up on the weekend to Rock Creek Lake, CA. Have a site in the East Fork Campground. Anyone been up there recently? Any big changes I should be concerned with? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry I can't help, have not been there in a few years, since we bought the MH. But this was one of our favorite campgrounds for tent camping.
I will be watching this thread, we want to head back up there again soon.
Good luck,
I will be taking pic's of RV campsite's to share with everyone if you are interested. Currently the site we have reserved is one of the best in the campground. Level 55' site on the creek, the only down side is the weather right now, little cold and wet. Oh well will just put another log on the fire.
JRC, if you have the time and energy, the hike from the end of the road to Gem Lakes is fantastic. Is the snow all melted off at the ten thousand foot level?

It sure isn't here in the Northern Sierra. I ran into some drifts this morning on North facing slopes at the 7500' level. They recieved more snowfall that we did last Winter, I would imagine the high country is still locked up with snow.
