I also have a Cedar Creek 29LRLBS which I think is what you have. That very same seam came apart on ours. Our unit is a 2005 and the problem showed up the second time we used it. The problem was the screws. They put new screws in and we have not had a problem with it since then and that was 4.5 years ago and 35000 miles later.

Ron,
I do have the 29LRLBS just like the one you have. It was built 09/12/05. I don't think this is related to a frame problem. We noticed it on our trip to Texas. (last month May) The gap didn't get any larger on our trip back to NJ. Thanks for your response, it supports my thoughts of what it was. We have over 40k on the truck and fifth wheel. If it was the frame I think it would have showed long before now.

I have a 2006 Forrest River Sanpiper. I am having the same problem. I will try to post pictures tomorrow. I hope it is a DIY fix with the proper fastners.

I have an 08 cedar creek that I noticed was moving a bit up front. The chaulk line would change when hooked up. I got a hold of Steve Hicks at the factory and emailed him some pictures. You will be very pleased with the service you get at the factory!
They had Lippert come and fix the frame after they took the unit apart. Also they came and picked my 5er up in NC. Not only did they fix that issue they fixed a bunch of small trim issues and minor stuff I and the wife wrote down. They even did a PDI and found that the DVD plyer was broke and the floor switch for the built in vac system. Bottom line was they fixed more than what I had requested on thier dime.
Here is the real kicker...I had asked about getting a front AC put in and swaping out the steel rimes for aluminum wheels. Well they did both. They installed a demo AC unit (13.5K) up front and 5 NEW wheels with 5 NEW goodyear G614's. The cost to me was zero!
I can't say enough good stuff about Cedar Creek and Steve. I went and picked up my camper at the end of May and we could not be happier with the results.
This is kinda a highjack but my point is the trip to Topeka is worth it. Steve and his guys care about YOUR satisfaction and they work for your loyalty.
Good luck,
Mike

well said, they are fast to tell you to travel it, what if the unit falls on the truck box and the insurance get words of you trying to travel the unit. You need to check it first. Mine sure could have failed in the near future.

Up date from Forest River/Cedar Creek. Steve Hicks called me yesterday and said to bring the fifth wheel to Cedar Creek for repairs.

Cool - heard that guys name before. Hopefully his superior's at Forest River hear his name as much and give the guy his kudos (and raise!).
