Hi all...

Colorado here! Been searching around for info and whammo... found your site here. Great information here for sure.

Little bit about myself:
51 Male, married, 3 kiddos.
31.5 ft Jayco Lite (yeah right lite my butt!) TT
...has 3 bed Bunk in rear and full size Queen in Front (Keeps the Wife happy)
2003 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi (to the limit!)

I was searching on Batteries. Found some great information.
Right now I have a single 12v Deep Cycle (Interstate)
Numbers: SRM-24 550 CCA 690 MCA (not too sure what they all mean!)

I am looking to buy another New Battery. Might get the same size and all.. but would like to get a Bigger one, not sure how it would react with a Larger/Smaller battery hooked up POS to POS and NEG to NEG.

Think it would matter? Inquiry minds want to know....

Thanks all...

WALK (aka Doug)

The SRM-24 is basically the model(size) number for the battery. The other two are as follows.

Marine Cranking Amps - The amount of amps a battery can produce at 320 F.
Cold Cranking Amps - The number of amps a battery can deliver for 30 seconds at 00 F and maintain 7.2 volts.

I doubt it would be an issue to use a larger one with a smaller one, as long as both are 12V. The only issue I see is the older battery could be worn out, which when you connect two batteries together they equalize. So if old battery doesn't hold full voltage it will pull the new one down.

If you do a search there is a thread called 12V side of life it has tons of info on batteries and such.
