Well did you make a deal??? I to wouldnt let a gas water heater change my mind. I don't know about fuel economy but they heat quick. The electric heats hot and you use campgrounds electricity. Mine is either and is dsi. But one day I fear that the electronics is going to screw up. Sometimes simple is better. Lets us know what you buy.

The trailer I just traded had a gas-only hot water heater. Not a problem at all, keeping in mind it's just the wife and I. Very seldom did I hear it come on, only after showers.

Thanks to everyone for the input on the gas / electric issue.
So how do you use gas and electric at the same? I assume this means flipping the switch on the water heater to AC? For some reason I thought that meant it just ran on AC when plugged in and wouldn't use propane. But if it uses both and heats faster great... gotta try it! Thanks!
