I picked one up at the Home Depot in Albany, NY. They had 10, well now 9 for $299. Might even have some in back room. I hope it is as good as everyone claims.

Where did you buy your Honeywell, and for how much?
Thanks.
I actually bought it at a liquidation place that handles Costco returns - saved $100 off the price as a result. That said, Costco is the company that carries them in Canada.
As of right NOW, Home Depot in Thousand Oaks, California...2745 Teller road, has about 8 or nine of these Honeywell 2000's for $299. They just got them in.
Me thinks this thread has caused much foot traffic into HD and Lowe's. Been into both in several locations here in Texas but no store has any idea about the Honeywell. I don't want to give $549 to order one from Walmart just to be in HWCC. The Honeywell is getting a big play here. While in HD and Lowe's I always check if any Champions are stocked. None found. Why
my HW has developed a vacuum leak at the 'Primer Bulb'
Keep your eyes open, IF an engine is allowed to run this way, significant damage could be done to the engine due to overheating from a lean mixture
here are the pictures, check your Primer bulb NOW, and in the future if your engine appears to be NOT right check this first
mine cracked & split on the bottom side of the bulb, making it harder to see, the plastic ring holding the bulb unscrews making it easy to remove the rubber bulb from the primer and inspect it
the primer bulb connects between the fuel pump and the intake manifold, vacuum from the intake manifold is used to operate the fuel pump, I have a temporary repair solution,
My temporary repair is to replace the primer pump with a fuel tube coupler
when the primer bulb rubber cracked & split it leaks vacuum, letting air be sucked into the manifold instead of thru the carb, this leans the fuel mixture, it also cause the fuel pump to NOT operate correctly so less gas is pumped to the carb bowl ( double whammy ), a lean mixture will cause engine overheating problems damaging valves or the cylinder
my temporary fix was to remove the primer bulb and connect the hoses together.
my 30 days is past, so if I want to pursue this , it will have to go thru the Honeywell warranty service
I just thought a Heads up was in order, mine might be an isolated case, but if NOT caught this issue would eventually cause engine problems and maybe failure
it is the same as running an engine jetted for high altitude at low altitude, ONLY more so, this leak will make a much leaner mixture than a change of jet
from the HW manual

Me too, i just had one transferred to my store
Excited to hear if the Honeywell is now up and running. At the $299 price, what a deal.
I finally got my hands on one. For $300, I'm highly impressed. I picked it up mainly for offroading / camping. With ECO mode off, it has no problem starting up a 1 1/4hp circular saw up (it stalls if ECO mode is on). Build quality isn't horrible but it's not fantastic. I had to take a knife to clean up some excess plastic from the molding of the case (especially the slot around the choke lever). The panels have a little rattle to them, so I'll probably disassemble the case, dynamat it, then cover it in sound dampening foam. I would suspect I can get it nearly as quiet as a EU2000i.
I'm going to try to find a spare fuel cap for it. I want to drill a spare one out and install a quick disconnect fitting so I can use a pair of 6gal outboard tanks. Between those 2 tanks I should be able to get through an entire weekend without having to shut it down
It's not a Honda, but then again I didn't buy a Honda due to how limited of use it would get, just to much coin for the less than 100 hours a year it would get used. For $300 though, it's a fantastic buy. I'll probably end up buying another as a backup. There is no telling how long parts will actually be available for it. Hopefully some of them cross over to a Honda since it seems to be a clone.

I've seen them there. A coworker got one and really likes it. I will have to go over and have a listen. Might pick one up next season.
