Well it went very well....no glitches...I did have a question or two though...
Most refrigerators run on both propane or electric...and when plugged in to electric the refrigerator knows that it automatically goes and uses electricity..not propane, right? I dont see a switch anywhere that says Propane or Electricity...I heard Electricity automatically takes precedence...
Dumping the grey/black water all seemed to go so well I cant help but think we forgot something..this is what we did:
...we dumped the black tank once it was almost full....then left the line open and ran the toilet for a minute....then closed the black tank, opened the grey and dumped the grey...does that sound like a good plan?
Anything else to do dumping wise to make it all good?
Thanks for any thoughts...
P.S. The roos are awesome--takes maybe 5 minutes to get those bunks out and open!!!!

the only thing is once you dump the black tank, to put back at least a couple of gallons of water. we also dump our ice in there to help scrub the black tank on the drive back home.

As far as the refrigerator ours has a switch right on the front of the frig. for automatic or gas only. On the auto setting it senses whether you are plugged in to electricity and then it switches to either gas or electric.

I leave our fridge on Auto. When hooked up to electricity, thats what it it runs on. When you pull the power, it switches to propane (Assuming you have the tank valve open).
As far as dumping...It sounds like you did it right. I have one of those high pressure wands that I stick down the hole to rinse the black tank after dumping. After that I close the black and dump the grey. I then add chemicals and about 2 or 3 gallons of water to the black tank.

Well I fill kitchen sink with warm water. Then dump black, then dump gray. Then add 1 gallon (one toilet full) of water to black so it doesn't dry out. Then once hoses stored and ready to go, I use warm water to wash hands with soap. Once sink drains, gray has as gallon in it also.

Good advice so far. As mentioned above, keep a few gallons of water in the black tank. I think it is best not to let it get dry. Anything inside will turn to a solid causing problems later. Good luck with your new rig.

So normally you all leave a couple gallons either in black or grey or both? That is good to do? What is the purpose of that? I didnt realize I should leave something in the bottom of the tanks...

As for the tanks it's an easy clean enroute to your next campground. Put enough water and maybe some Tide in both tanks that they slosh clean and dump the tanks when you enter the campground -- there's never a line there on entry.
