can't tell you about Alexandria, but Chadron is a very nice park.
Water, dump station and elec hookups, shade, swimming pool, showers, etc.
Pine trees and hills.
7 miles from Chadron where there is a Walmart if you need one.

Alexandria is a small park with 2 fishing lakes, electric hookups, water & dumpstation available it is west of Hebron about 15 miles. It is a nice little park in Jefferson County about 3 miles from the small town of Alexandria. There is a cafe at the campground that has pretty good food. The park is on a good hard surface road.
Hebron also has a city park campground that is nicely shaded & with a bathhouse at very minimal cost. Just giving you an alternative, & its only blocks from US 81.

We will be coming through the same area in a couple of weeks on our way to Badlands NP and have planned on stopping in Grand Island. I looks like this may be on your route as well. There are two parks that look nice, Hall County Park and Mormon Island State Rec Area. We have not been to either but both look nice.
