Could someone make a recommendation for a campground in the subject general area? We plan to be there on July 17.

I possibly could help, but frankly the Green Dragon Flea Market is not a destination that is well known. Therefore, I have no idea, as most others will not, as well. Perhaps you could provide a clue, mayb the city and state would be helpful.

If you are talking about the market near Lancaster, PA, there are many campgrounds in that area in easy driving distance.

We stayed many times at Old Mill right next to Dutch Wonderland just to visit the Green Dragon. It's probably 20 miles to the flea market.

I know that some people dry camp in their parking lot the night before. If you want to do that try contacting the Green Dragon office for info. I have camped at Oak Creek, Sun Valley and Lake in Wood. They are all in the Bowmansville area just a few miles away from there. I would recommend any of those it just depends on what you want in a campground. Here are their reviews on RVparkreviews.

Red Run campground is the closest to Green Dragon. It's a smaller campground but overall not bad. They have a pool, small store, gameroom etc..Green Dragon is very large and is only open on Fridays.
It will take you a full day to see everything if you haven't been there before. Lot's of Good Food to eat. I think you'll enjoy it.
Have Fun.

Oak Creek campground in Bowmansville Pa. is not tot far and a great place to stay, also close to Shady Maple for a good place to eat. the campground is very wooded so shade is good but they do have a killer hill that can be hard if you like to walk alot.

We were just there two weeks ago. We stayed for nine days at Beacon Hills cg. We loved it there. The owners are really nice. Beautiful scenery, Amish bring baked goods through at night. It is an adult only cg though. It is a great location to all the area attractions. We could have stayed several more days and still had things to do. The flea market is just one of the many things to do in the area.
