We are driving to Yellowknife this summer -- from Grande Prairie north to Yellowknife, is there any cell phone coverage at all and if yes, are you with Rogers or Telus or ???

Ok, "map, regional coverage" works for search via google.ca for NWT: http://www.htscom.com/telus-coverage-maps/region.asp?RegionID=89

Once again hitting blank for rogers: http://your.rogers.com/Store/Wireless/coverage/info.asp#Page_2, which shows territories greyed out.

Now, recently I had a call from one company which partners with Rogers and they asked me why I didn't take them. & I said: "because you don't cover Alaska, the Territoriesor or Labrador and I want to travel there." It was sort of: "oh, thank you." Usually, that sort of caller knows that kind of information.

& I, I took the road less travelled by.

In Alberta, Telus has good coverage to 60-70 km North of High Level. Rogers/Bell, last I heard petered out between Grimshaw and Manning.

I couldn't get coverage last year with Rogers. I've since changed to Telus and have been successful.
