I agree that it has cost me thousands, too, but I prefer to think of how much it has saved me. Some of my "pre-forum" mistakes, like two different generators that were too loud, buying regular batteries instead of deep cycle and other places that I generally wasted my money.
I have products that make my camping (and other things in life) cheaper, safer and more pleasant. My Retrax tonneau cover, Honda generators (with homemade parallel kit and auxiliary fuel tank), Camp Chef stove, Ultimate Turkey Roaster, etc. make my life more pleasant.

When my grown kids were inspecting our new fifth wheel, one asked why we bought a trailer that sleeps 4. My reply was that we couldn't find one that sleeps 2!

Looking at that list, seems that you have made some great purchases. Money well spent.

I assume that you already had a macerator or sewer solution before joining?

You are correct-this forum is expensive. Thankfully, I found it before I purchased a TT and started to shop for accessories and did not waste a lot of time and money on the wrong things.

i'd have to sit and really think about it, but we have a tradition every yr when taxes come back, we get 1 big ticket toy for the TT to make life a little easier. the few i can rem were the 4 wheel blue tote, the portable water sack, macerator pump. with chronic CRS i'd really have to ponder this and since i'm still on 1st cup-o-joe-ain't worth it, but you get the idea.

I never tallied up how much I`ve spent because I saw it here. It`s a good point. I can tell you this, though, our camping experience to date would not have been nearly as enjoyable if we had not found this site. When I think about the trial and error and mistakes that I`ve avoided just by the advice I`ve gotten here, I get a big ole smile on my face. I`m not even sure I would have gotten into camping had I not come here.
HEEEEEEY! That is a big expense!!! You guys tricked me! I could`ve gotten into stamp collecting or funded my 401K instead. (yawn!)

Being able to corespond with the RV'ers on this site is priceless. It is what makes my camping experience more enjoyable than if I tried the trial and error method. Reading about other RV'ers experiences is like being along with them, and enjoying their adventures with them. Thanks to all who contribute to this forum.
