After leaving Grand Tetons, Yellowstone and Mt. Rushmore behind, I'd like to get your input on any interesting stops along the way to break up the return trip to Steubenville, Oh.
On this trip we are traveling in mom's Roadtrek w/ 2 boys ages 8, and 10. Any suggestions? even the silliest, strangest sites, we also love history so that would also do.
Travelling in a class B gives us alot of camping options. We prefer state or national parks but any of your favorites and why would also be welcomed.
Thanks...

The Corn Palace was interesting. It's in Mitchel SD. Also the Wisconson Dells.

Everybody needs to see Wall Drug once, but probably not more than that. At Mitchell SD, don't miss the Indian Village archeological dig site just north of town. Between Mitchell & Sioux Falls there's a weird sculpture garden on the south side of the interstate - kind of seedy, but fun.
Drop south into Nebraska and tour the Strategic Air Command air museum outside Omaha, and then the drive-through zoo just across the freeway. Both fun.
There's the Amana Colony in Iowa, and a Mississippi paddle wheel ride at the Quad Cities.
Stay loose and don't lock yourself into a rigid schedule.

I avoided Wall Drug and the Corn palace my first dozen trips by. then I succumbed. Corn palace was interesting since there was a big polka doings going on but Wal Drug was a waste of time. stop by a Wal-mart, they have better parking. to avoid Chicago I drop down I-39 from Wisc. there is a Cabela's someplace on that route near Mitchell IIRC.

If you are taking I-80 through Nebraska stop at Minden and the "Pioneer village Museum", It is a great museum of Americana with something for all ages.
There is a nice RV park on site. You can go back to museum every day for one low price.

Thanks. I'm writing all this down and checking the map. Now we decided to just head back to VA (Woodstock area off I-81) before our next trip to Ohio (that is a set date). So I'm looking generally at going:
I-90 to Sioux Falls
I-29 to Kansas City
I-70 to St. Louis
I-64 to I-81 (I know there is a part in W.V. where I-64 is w/I-77).
So anything around this that is entertaining to 2 boys would be very welcomed.
Thanks again and keep the tips coming.
