KY went to 70 a few years ago but I look for a reversal trend to develop in speed laws in the coming years.

Still 75 in Montana but I'd never drive that fast in the coach. But I do in the toad.

I wasn't aware of the change but just looked it up.

For you non Ohio folks, the speed limits on most of Ohio Interstates have been 65 for cars, 55 for vehicles over 8000# empty. Apparently they have removed the lower limit for heavy vehicles. Urban areas will continue to have lower limits for all vehicles.

Just came into Kentucky on I-71 where the speed limit is 70. That road is
like a roller coaster with trucks (semi's) high-balling down the hills and
trying to coast at 70 mph up the next hills and the traffic is atrocious.
Will NEVER travel that road again! Normally, we stay off the Interstate
highways because of the high-speed traffic.

There is a stretch of I10 here in Texas where the speed limit is 80. From about 15 miles west of Kerrville,TX to just east of El Paso all vehicles 80 mph.
I never drive my drive motorhome my over 65.

Carp65 welcome to KY. You sure are out of the flat lands in that section of I-71 and if you are not going to drive 70 MPH then it is not a fun place to be. Not really sure why that section moves so fast and is home to one of the country's worse school bus crashes. If on is going to get into the left lane you need to be doing 75 to be safe as far as not backing up traffic.
