We're in the process of loading the motor home for our full-time lifestyle. DH has a power washer ($100 size - light duty) that he thought he should keep in the motor home, but now he thinks he probably doesn't need to take it. We have a 40' diesel pusher and a CRV.

He just bought it a couple of months ago. Should he keep it or sell it? Your comments please. Thanks.

If you have room, I say keep it.

I'd keep it. Would make it easier for washing the MH, no?

As with all things, how much room does it take and how often will you use it? They can be rented.

Most CG's don't allow RV washing in any form.

If you plan on spending any time near the ocean or gulf coast I think you would find it quite handy to have along.
I just purchased a Snap-On washer at Costco to take along. Jack

I thought about this and have found over the last 7 years most places I've stayed, workamped and others don't allow their use. I know some do, but in my case I've found it would have sat in the basement unused taking up space. Most I know with a MH occasionally use a truck wash or something similar for thorough cleaning, rinsing off salt moisture etc. If you think you'll have places with water and allow their use then sure, but I personally have found they are not very readily available (such as parks and campgrounds). some places where you own your own lot it is acceptable like where I am for my winter anchor point. Only one time in the last 7 years besides my anchor point has allowed such and in fact encouraged it as the park owners preferred the RV's looking nice. I guess these are some things I'd consider.

keep it, see how much use you get out of it, sell it if not needed.

I have read and also practice this as well. I use just a gentle shower setting on my hose nozzle for washing my truck and now new fifth wheel. I worry about all that extra water power. I know you can set it to low pressure...if so why not a hose?
