Just received my property tax bill on our new fifth wheel for $1,047. The tax office is using the MSRP of $102,000 on our Carri-Lite not what we paid which was $72,000. I need tax relief. Looking forward to full timing and possibly using South Dakota.

Florida is lookin better all the time. The only yearly tax on my fifth wheel is for the tag which cost $48 per year.

Is that an annual fee or a one time assesment?
In WA state we pay sales tax on purchase price and they an annual licence fee as if it were a vehicle.

Ran into the same problem with ours...Spent hours on the phone with DMV...Like talking to a rock.

They called our dealer & asked how much such-and-such a model was...Got the MSRP & ran with it.

As a 3-year old rig, I still paid $347 this year!

If I ever buy another one, you can bet it won't be registered in NC!

VA is pretty ridiculous too. I pay around $500 a year. MOTOR vehicles get a discount of 55% BUT RV's are excluded.
