We have a Garmin GPS and I use Microsoft Streets and Trips on my laptop. OK, call me neurotic but I also like to have an Atlas too. Geez, maybe I am crazy but I usually pick up a State map at a Welcome Center too.
Anyway, since we are about to go full-time and my most recent Atlas is a Rand McNally from 2004, it's time for a new one. I like that the Walmarts are listed in that Atlas, but I'm wondering if there is something else that I should be considering. I guess I'm worrying about low clearances and steep roads since now we will be in a 40' diesel pusher instead of our Class B or previous smaller Class A.
If you drive a Class A motorhome, this is the Road Atlas that you want. I use this as well as GPS.

I think the mountain east and west atlases would be great if your travel was limited to the 22 states that they cover, but I'll continue to use the Rand McNally ones.
At $50 for the Motor Carrier's Atlas, I think I'll stick with Wally World's. Last I paid was $5 - at that rate I'd have to live & RV for another 20 years. Not likely.
We use DeLorme map on our laptop, with the GPS bug. Having a much larger 15" screen for the GPS makes it easier to follow. Plus, Discovery.com had ICONS which go on the maps showing locations for most anything you want. National Park and Forest Campgrounds, Thousand Trails, Western Horizon, Coast to Coast, Resort Parks International, Resorts of Distinction, Passport America, Encore, Campgrounds and more.
There are also ICONS for clearances, indicating various heights so you can choose what works for you. Leaving out the ones which you know you can clear.
Then there are the ICONS for Walmar, Sams, SuperCenters which allow overnight parking. ICONS for places like Cracker Barrel, Hometown Buffet, etc. It makes it easy to spot them along your route. There are so many that it is not possible to list them all here.
Am not sure, you could check, but they may also work on MS Streets & Trips.
We used to carry Walmarts Atlas, but the DeLorme works better for us.

WE carry, and use, the Good Sam edition of Rand McNally. It shows at a glance which towns have camp grounds (All those listyed in TL directory - GS and non-GS). Then look up that town in TL Directory for specific info.
