Becuase I didnt know any better, mine were installed are on either side of the rear license tag...what a mistake that turned out to be. I have to get down and slide under the camper to increase or decrease the pressure.

I was thinking about moving them to the side of the rear bumper to make them more accessible. The previously mentioned fuel door sounds even better. Someone please throw some pictures up for the rest of us to see.

Do Not forget to get "stable loads". You won't need nearly the pressure in air bags with them installed.

I just finished installing my air bags today and I used the filler door set up. The air valve for the drivers side is on the left upper say @ 11:00 and the passengers side is right upper say at 1:00. LEaves plenty of room for the fuel cap removal and fueling. Also it was drilling through plastic and not steel.
The notion of using the filler door was very timely for me.

Matt, I too have the air valves located in the fuel filler compartment,in my '06 F350. Also have compressor mounted under the pickup body, with in cab controlls and guages. Have never had to use the manual air valves, so I can't tell you how convenient they are.(just looked like a good spot) Do like the in cab controlls though. This is the third truck I've had this set of air springs on.Dealers won't give me any allowance for them,(when I trade) so I clean them up repaint them and re-install them on the new truck. Best of luck with your install.

Wheel wells - I like to be able to watch my air bag when I am filling it to get the bumpstops so that they just start to push on the overloads. Also it keeps the line short and simple.

Would Timbrens be considered a substiture for "Stable Loads"?

I have mine in the wheel wells, this setup uses only a short piece of hose for each side.

Ditto and they are right near the tires so very convenient when checking air pressures.
