I would NEVER use the potable water side for anything but your fresh water tank and would hate to see anybody using potable water hookup to their black tank flush. If there is a anyone behind me when I am dumping, I don't hookup the black tank flush. I will do it next time so I don't hog/holdup the dump station.

Pick up about 3 plastic hose ends at the local home center or hardware store in 3/8, 1/2, 5/8 sizes and keep them in the wet bay. When you find a wash out hose with the end cut off, temporarily use yours. Remove when done and you're good for the next place. Should cost about $2-3 total.

As has been said, if you have any concideration for other people behind you, you dump the black, rinse w/ grey, and get outta there. The best dump stations are the ones that don't have any water anywhere near them. If you can't dump "cleanly" w/o the need for running water, learn how, or stay home. Play w/ your cleaning gadjets at home,......or maybe at a dump station if no one is behind you. Me? I don't need any cleaning gadjets, and it take me 3 1/2 minutes to dump 2 40 gal tanks, cleanup and all !
But then,.....I am a "professional camper"

Hence the reason I refuse to hook up to potable water anywhere near a dumpsite. I may know what the guy in front of me did..or didnt do...but what about 2 or 3 ahead of him..??

I bought a cheap 25 foot garden hose and cut it in half....giving me about 12 feet to use as my "black tank cleanout hose". I remove theirs..attach mine...and when done I reattach theirs

a lot depends on how long the line is behind you. I have the quickie flush and I rinse every time, it doesn't take very long to connect and disconnect the hose. by the way, I bought a short gray hose for this purpose from my RV dealer, it is a light brown colored hose and I carry it with the sewer hose and do not use it for any other purpose. Yes, I rinse each time, it takes a lot less time then these guys that back flush their tanks with the flush king. The people that back flush are the ones that hold up the line, not the tornado or the quickie flush guys

I hope you're not the guy who pulls up to the dump station and
opens his tanks without using his sewer hose !!!

3 1/2 minutes, whoa, that is real fast. It probably takes me a minute to shut my diesel off, undo seat belt, open door and get to my dump station and then after dumping it probably takes me 2 minutes to do the above plus wash my hands, so that would only leave me 1/2 minute to dump my tanks. I will just never get that fast especially now that age is starting to creep up, but at least it gives me something to shoot for. If I ever manage to do it that fast I will repost and let you all know, not that anyone will really care.
