Weds we pulled into a really nice tribal campground at Lac Du Flambeau, WI. Nice paved interior roads, paved sites with ample room (plus they gave us two sites) on a lake. The cg is on a narrow peninsula so we have water views on both sides of us. Very quiet.
We always try to find a place to stay well in advance of any holiday and stay put until the holiday is over. This year, for the 4th, we're at a campground near Stanley, ID and won't leave until Monday.
Hanging out at Wilson's Riverfront RV Park in Asheville NC for 3 days, back on the road north Sunday AM. Nice quiet campground w/o frills or bath house, no play ground. There is a kayak & canoe rental next door but, haven't heard a thing out of them either. The Biltmore Estate was pretty crowded today, but well worth the trip. Sunday we'll put in about 200 miles then pull in for the night before the afternoon madness on the highway starts.

We are at Cape Hatteras for the season, and tomorrow we will be at the beach, all day, until about 8 pm or so. Hopefully we will not need to go into town or anything else, just stay on the beach.
Hi Dale. Are all their sites on the water and big rig friendly? They don't show a site map or much else for that matter on their web site. Course what they show is more than where we're at - no web site at all.
The only time we make reservations is for major holidays. We wanted to try to find an out of the way place in a cool weather zone that would not be a big destination place. We chose Brattleboro, Vermont. The campground is full tonight with all of the families and other "campers". Us full-time RVers will just lay low and wait until everyone goes home on Sunday. We will hit the road again come Monday morning.

We stay in Thousand Trails most of the year, the rest of the time in Resorts of Distinction. We never hear lots of noise or see drunks and have late night incidents. They have strict rules and enforce them. No drinking outside of the RV. No noise during "quiet hours" or you are warned and if it does not stop, expelled from the campground. After ten you can walk through the campground, and not even hear a TV set.
Only once in 14 years did we have a noisy party in our section. They also had a fire in an area where wood fires were banned, with big sparks shooting 15 feet and higher into the trees...
They were expelled from the campground without a warning, and informed it it happened again, they would forfeit their membership.

We are in Klamath, CA and will be going to the parade in nearby Cresent City, CA. 70 degrees and clear is the forecast! Like everyone else, we got reservations well in advance, and are having a great time in our second year of fulltiming.

We are volunteering in Az. We lucked out as we are off Thur. thru Sat. Back in time to clean up. All our fellow volunteers & us are having a BBQ The evening of the 4th & will watch the fireworks from up on a hill in the park.
Oh, I have to tell ya, I learned a lesson this 3rd/4th of July. I did not have reservations anywhere, and I had totally forgotten about the holiday, and frankly I don't know where I'll be for say, Labor Day, so I need to think about it now I guess.
Today, I left a campground that had no more room, and I went happily on my way to find a boondocking spot.
Silly me.
I've never had trouble before, but this time, every spur was taken, every campground full, and I traveled about 100 miles on dirt/gravel roads trying to find a spot, to no avail.
Thus, tonight, I'm in a rest stop. Thankfully, it's on a river, and I went swimming.
But I do need to learn what to do about holidays in good weather. Only been at this about a year no
