We take the above mentioned receiver with us from home. We went to a different place than we normally go. A LOT of trees, so the dome does not work. Before we left the receiver did a software update. Really not sure what version at this time.
Anyhow, we have a portable dish. Just a single LNB. I have always been able to just set it to the signal meters and sight it in.
I tried to do it this time and can NOT get the 101 sat.
I set the receiver to 18" round and TRY to get to the signals. (Actually, I set it up like that before I unhook it from home.) NOTHING comes in. I NEED to get one of the signal meters now. At least that way I KNOW I am on the Sat.
Has ANYONE taken their HR-21-200 out recently after the last software update?

Found out that ever since the June update the 18" dish has a Multi switch AND SWM option. Well, I have no multi switch in the RV so I set it to SWM. So every time I would reset the receiver it defaults to that. THAT is why the signal meters wouldnt work when I was trying to sight in.
This HAD to have been in the last download as I NEVER have this problem before.
I show that the original version was 0x4080
Mine now is 0x42eb on 6-24
I haven't been out since May but will take my HR-21 receiver out with my portable dish. Did not understand what I should now do regarding the SWM. Do not know what this means. Thanks for explaining what I should do with my receiver settings. Thanks

According to this, SWM stands for Single-Wire Multiswitch and works only with the 5 LNB dishes. SWM8
