Glad to hear it. Have used them once in 4 years and 9 months of full-timing on our truck. Was a little slow on showing up. But was great service.
Some people how ever have had problems with them and will never use them again. I guess it all depends on where you are, what day it is, and what time of the day or night it is.

We have had nearly similar experiences. We have had the service for 4 1/2 years now and had to call them twice.
Once when our coach had been stored for 4 months down in Florida.
We returned to find all the batteries were totally drained. Called for assistance and they had a service company on site within 45 minutes.
Our coach had been backed in against a big sand berm and in between several other coaches. The service man could not reach the rear of our coach with his cables. Had to send him on while we attempted to contact the owners of the adjacent coaches. Was finally able to get through the red tape of security secrecy about who the other coach owners were and contacted the owner next to us. He came and moved his coach and we then called the GS ERS folks again and they had another company out there in just a few minutes and they got us chsrged up and started real quickly.
Then the first instance was we had just left the campground in the wifes new at the time toad. The car suddenly just shut off without any warning.
We had plenty of fuel so I knew that it had to be something else.
Called for assistance and they had some gent there in a wink.
They loaded the car up on a truck and took it along with us to a nearby Chrysler dealership. Naturally this was on a Saturday afternoon and the service department was all closed up for the weekend. The service gent unloaded the car near the service bay entry door and he took us to a car rental firm. We rented a car and were on our way.
Called the dealership the first thing on Monday and they got the car in and repaired later that morning. It was some kind of an electronic module. The repair was covered by the warranty. GS ERS paid for the tow service and then Chrysler took care of our car rental charges.
By and large we have been very well pleased with the ERS service.
You will hear some folks talk about bad experiences that they have had, but all of our have worked out great so far.

Well, they sure need to improve their 'hold' time when you call in. You shouldn't have to wait over 15 minutes to get it picked up, then another wait to get to the right person. (While you are hoping your cel phone doesn't die.)
And another complaint, on Sundays they don't pay whomever they send out. You have to pay it yourself, then apply for reimbursement. We just had that problem last Sunday, and are waiting to see how long it takes to get a check back from them. Was told they process claims, which must be snail mailed in, within 72 hours of receipt, and then mail out reimbursement, usually on Fridays.
It was our first time we needed them, after having ERS for quite a few years. The tow truck guy likes dealing with AAA better.
Guess we'll see how it all works out.

Sorry to hear about your so-so service experience.
None of our problems happened to occurred on a Sunday, so can't really address that matter. Hope that you get your re-imbursement payment in a timely manner and for the full amount.

We had a similar experience with a blow out on I405! Was put on hold for 45 minutes...never did get to talk with a dispatcher! A State Trooper finally stopped and told us we needed to get off the freeway ASAP. He also said it was his experience that most have trouble with this ERS service. He called a tow, it was there in 10 minutes and I paid the $175 bill. We cancelled the GS ERS. I want a more reliable service if I am going to spend the money!
How fast they respond depends on where you are and how far away a participating tow service is located. If you're in a remote area, you're probably going to have quite a wait. We were between Lake City and Creede, Colorado. The tow truck had to come from 80 miles away in Pagosa Springs through highway construction and over Wolf Creek Pass. We got helped but not quickly. We've used tow service, locksmith service, and tire change service and all were satisfactory. The actual Good Sam employees on the phone were all professional and very helpful. We renew automatically by credit card because chances of being away when the bill comes are very high. We've had them for eight years.

The Good Sam ERS service is contracted out to Road America and The Affinity Group has a three year (Two remaining)contract for this service. Road America also serves lots of other companies. Check their Web site and see who you are really dealing with.

The middle of Bellvue, WA wasn't remote. I realize many have had good experiences with GS ERS ours simply was not. Very irritating to pay for an emergency service and when the emergency does arrive receive no benefits!
