were thinking of going to austin before the son starts college.we nt to stay close to the city, but with out all the noise.saw a couple on the web.give me some place.thanks.
Here's a list of Austin Area RV Parks parks. I highly recommend McKinney Falls State Park. It's a wonderful state park and within the Austin city limits. Enjoy your trip to Austin, it's a great city.
If you have time, don't miss eating at Salt Lick BBQ. It's most definitely worth the visit.

We stayed at Crestview RV in Buda, dealer and campground because of proximity to town and to San Antonio and New Braunfels. We made day trips to a restaurant in New Braunfels, to huge mall there and to visit friends in San Antonio as well as sightseeing in Austin. It's very nice. It was summer and we wanted full HU's and 50A. Big new Cabela's is across the street. It's right on I 35 but far enough that noise not a problem.
It doesn't sound to thrilling but you should be certain and go and see the bat's come out from under the bridge while you are there.
Happens every evening at dusk and is really quite a sight to see.
There must be at least a bezillion or more.
Just ask around and people will direct you to the area where the bridge is located.
Well worth going to see.
