I don't watch many DVD's while camping but when I do I struggle getting the DVD disk in and out of the player. The player is in one of my front overhead storage compartments and I can't see into the sliding tray so putting the disk into or getting it out of the tray is done by feel. I found a front loading DVD player, like the CD player in a car, at Walmart in the toy section. The disadvantage, it is white with pink accents.
It has composite and component outputs, but the remote is small and the keys are hard to read. It is about 10" wide, 3" high and 8" deep. At $40 I figure I can put up with pink and a small remote for the ease of a front loading DVD player.
