Having read many posts recommending (powder) Spic'n'Span to clean an RV, i went looking in local stores - no luck. Did an online search. Found the product is now owned by Prestige Brands, makers of Compound W, Murine products, Cutex, etc. Used product locater to track down powder S'n'S, and it seems it can only be ordered online.

Can this be true?

Regards, Kelly

I wouldn't doubt it because it comes in a plain o box AND works!

Sadly nowadays the consumers are conditioned to want fancy bottles with heavy eye catching graphics and tons of perfume in cleaners that don't do squat. So I suspect the plain old box of cleaner that really works would be taken off the shelves like co many others.

The main ingredient in Spic N Span is TSP (trisodium phosphate) which is available unscented, in unglamorous but practical plastic packaging, in the painting-prep department of most hardware stores. In addition to lacking glamorous graphics, it also has the disadvantages of being phosphate-based and having a name that is vaguely an ethnic slur.

I bought Spic & Span liquid at a convenience store. I found it in a box at my local grocery store.
Don't understand why you have to buy it online.

Spic and Span..a name from the past. I never noticed was aware that it slipped from our store shelves. I guess it's not something that one realy notices.

Rockhillmanor was spot on. Perfectly good old products are kicked to the curb by new generations , in favor of "new and improved" stuff in fancy packages. It has to be a pretty good product. After all someone coined a phrase "spic and Span" that peope still sue when they are describing something that is meticulously clean.

Remember Fels Naptha Heavy Duty Laundry Soap? Wife loves it on certain stains before laundry. No one carries it in our local stores, had to order from the internet. Everyone wants to easy to use liquids.

All we can find around here is the liquid S&S and I don't believe it cleans near as well as the old powder.

Liquid spic-n-span at wal-mart here in ohio.

Look in cleaning products.

Washed my roof with it I used blue coral wash&wax to wash the trailer.

I use tilex on the awning.

We can find the liquid Spic n Span at the Dollar Tree. I only use it on the rubber roof mixed with Murphy's Oil Soap. Cleans the roof great! Use Blue Coral car wash for the rest of the rig.
