My wife and I are looking at our first Class A. I like the looks of the 09 Winnebago Adventurer. I was hoping someone in the forum could tell me about the good and the bad that they have experienced with the Adventurer. Also, are there any good discounts or percentages off that I should know about. The dealer whats me to make a offer but I dont really know what you can get off the MRSP. Not sure where to start. Any input you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Try posting your question to these guys. It's a Winne-specific forum so you might get quicker answers.

I have not owned an Adventurer. However, I have owned 4 motorhomes, all purchased new, 2 Winnebago products and 2 others. My experience has been to buy ONLY Winnebago (or Itasca)in the future. Their products are strong and their company is probably as strong if not stronger than any RV manufacturer still left. Used to be a discount of 25-27% was what you were trying to get on a new Winnebago. Now there are additional rebates sometimes on different models and you have to do a little more research. I would check with the folks at Lewis RV in Dayton Ohio (www.lewis-rv.com), they carry the Itasca brand from Winnebago, the Suncruiser is the same as an Adventurer. Their prices are the best I've been able to find and they are very straight up type folks, that have been in business a long time. Good Luck!

My SunCruiser (basically the Adventurer with frosting) is a 2009 and I am very pleased so far. They really have refined the coach to optimize safety, convenience and easy maintenance. While it may not be the fanciest or most glamorous coach around, the electric system is top notch, the storage is ample and it is very comfortable. The operators manual is actually useful and well organized. They don't skimp on quality when it comes to the major systems and even dealers have commented that the parent company is well-run and easy to work with.
I bought mine all the way up at Lewis RV in Dayton. Tell Ray that Rich from Tampa sent you. They treated me right, and the price was very competitive.

I was in Altmans RV, a Winnebago dealer, awhile back getting a part for my Jouney. While there I walked the new line up of MHs. On every price sticker they were showing a 40% discount.
The Adventurer is one super sweet motorhome.

We have a 2000 38' Adventurer-- this has been a great motor home. Yes we have had some small problems but our dealer has a great service department. We drove 12000 miles round trip to Alaska without any problems.
This is my second Winnebago -- 1) Minnie Winnie 2) Adventurer.
I am now thinking of going diesel and it will be a Winnebago.
Really like the quality & service of Winnebago.
Happy Trails.

Thank to all of you for you input. On Monday we take our camper in to see what they will give us toward a new Winnebago Adventure. The dealer has a 2009 chassis with a 2009 H32 floor plan. Then there is one that has 2008 chassis with a 2009 H32 floor plan. Another dealer say he has a 2010 adventure with a 2009 chassis. Only difference I can see changed is the color outside and inside.
I dont where to begin. What percentage to ask off the sticker. I will keep calling dealers see what they can do. Also, what if any are the types of problems you have had with your adventurer or suncrusier. thanks again

One of the great things about Winnebago/ Itasca is that a substantial number of the coach shop drawings and skematics are on-line and free. I'm not aware of anyone else that does that.

I have a 2005 Suncruiser (sister ship to the Adventurer)and have found it to be a very reliable unit.
Winnebago has been in business for over 50 years - they have to be doing something right.

If you are close to Raleigh or Rural Hall (outside Winston Salem) NC.
You may want to check out Bill Plemmons RV.
Contact Jamie at the Raleigh store. I have bought a couple units from them and they do all my service work.
