Back in Feb. I posted questions about repainting my 1996 RT-190V. Got some very good advice but decided not to do it. Had a minor accident on our trip this summer and now have to do body work (insurance will pay). Based on the advice I got from you guys, I negotiated for a full-paint job (at my expense). The van will be mostly white with the blue lower panels, will have a blue pin stripe around the "middle" but no decals. I guess it will be a true stealth vehicle. I know I won't recover my expense here, but I hope to "enjoy" it enough to make it worthwhile. Can I still get the Roadtrek decals? Not the stripes, just the word. lizzie

Roadtrek is the place to go for that information. I doubt that the used RV parts dealers have then. You could do a search on used RV parts.

Contact a Roadtrek dealer, you wont get anywhere going to through the factory. The factory does not ship parts to consumers.

Lizzie, I would first check with local companies that make signs unless you have unlimited funds. Check in the yellow pages under "signs," you are looking only for those sign companies that do computerized "vinyl graphics." With a set of good photos these sign companies should be able to do a good job and make your Roadtrek graphics for a fraction of the cost.

Personally, I'd try schmoozing the company a bit - you know, an email about how much you love your B, and you tell all your friends how great it is and they all admire it, and how you brag about it on all the RV forums, but you're really distressed you no longer have 'Roadtrek' on the side for all to see. *grin*. The whole purpose of the logo, after all, is to advertise their product for them.

I inadvertantly got bumped up to first class one time when I was merely consoling a clerk who was upset - the guy in front of me was a total jerk to her. Suprised the hell out of the two guys I was travelling with. They didn't see the incident above and didn't know I wouldn't be sitting with them until the agent called for first class ticket-holders to board, and I walked right up and boarded. I never did tell them why the company bought me first class tickets and they only got coach *evil grin*.

If that doesn't work, go with lt's suggestion.

Replaced the "Pleasureway" decal on both sides. Went through the dealer and both decals cost around $75 total.

The 3 windows in front are enough to identify a Roadtrek to most other B owners. I didn't think about the decals as advertizing until we saw someone writing down the Roadtrek web address displayed on the back of our RT-200. So I agree with Jerry and Gail about schmoozing the company a bit if you really want the decals.

I am checking out your suggestions. If it says "Roadtrek" that's ok, if not, that's ok too. I especially like the idea of "schmoozing". Being an old lady raised in the deep South, I have had lots of luck with "niceness". Some folks are suspicious or think I'm nuts, others respond very well. It never hurts! lizzie
